Shepreth Wildlife Conservation Charity may collect personal information such as your name, email address, address and phone number through online surveys, employee and volunteer application paperwork, online ecommerce shop, fundraising including: raffle ticket sales, auction, Charity Ball event and external fundraising websites (i.e. Just Giving), first aid paperwork and hedgehog admission and release paperwork.
We may also send you service related email announcements on rare occasions when it is necessary to do so. For instance, if our service is temporarily suspended due to demand, we might send you an email.

To maintain our own accounts and records.
To fundraise and promote the interests of the charity.
To maintain our volunteer and staffing database.
To update you of any changes to our services offered.
For legal requirements regarding first aid, accounting and health and safety.

We will retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services. We will retain and use your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

We will not ask for information from children under 16 years of age. Children under the age of 16 years should ask their parents for permission before sending any information about themselves (name, address, e-mail address, etc.) to us or anyone else.
Volunteers
When you apply to become a volunteer at SWCC Hedgehog Hospital, we collect the following information: Name, Contact Information (Address, Email, Phone), Date of Birth, Emergency Contact Information, Volunteer Experience, References.
We collect this information to process and evaluate your volunteer application, communicate with you regarding your application status, contact your emergency contact in case of an emergency during your volunteer work, verify your volunteer experience and references.
The legal basis for processing your personal data is your consent. By submitting your volunteer application, you are consenting to the processing of your personal data for the purposes outlined in this policy. Your data will be stored securely and will only be accessed by authorised personnel involved in the volunteer application process. We will retain your data for the duration of your volunteer work and for 6 years thereafter.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared with relevant personnel within SWCC Hedgehog Hospital for the purposes of evaluating your volunteer application.
You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccuracies in your personal data, request the deletion of your personal data, withdraw your consent for the processing of your personal data.
